Health Care Bill

The Health Care Bill is now the law of the land.

It WILL affect each of us. Some think it is a really good thing, others just the opposite.

Please make certain that you know how those who claim to represent you voted regarding this bill so that you can appropriately reward them at the polls in the next election.

People talk about term limits for legislatures. Remember, folks, we already have them! Every two years, the people decide whether or not the term of their Representative should be limited.

The Lime Springs-Chester Elementary School has been saved, as have all others, for at least one year.

You can read the article in the Herald here: http://limespringsherald.wordpress.com/home2/

We're now spending a few days in Fredericksburg, TX, before heading home in earnest. We expect to be home Friday.

We saw our first robin yesterday, although our CR friends reported seeing theirs a few weeks ago.

Interesting Ad!

If you see a photo of the President of the United States of America in the ads in the right column, rest assured that I did not place it there.

I have very little control over the ads which are placed there. The are Google ads. Google "reads" the articles which are placed on The Lime Springs Page then attempts to put ads which have the same general subject matter as they find in the articles. Guess they read my note on the health care bill pretty carefully!

Since I'm on the subject of ads, I might as well explain them a bit further. I arranged for them to be placed on this site. And each time someone clicks on one of them, I am paid a small amount, that amount ranging between a penny and possibly 75 cents. Most, by far, pay between a nickel and a quarter.

Lest you think this is making me rich, I'll confide in you that I recently received my first check, which they send only after the account is $100 or more. After three or four years, I had finally accumulated $100, so last month I received a check for $101! And that's for all of my sites, not just this one.

Have you contacted your Representative and Senators today regarding the pending health care plan?

I have.

I contacted them yesterday, too.

I plan to contact them tomorrow, also.

How about you?

You can find your senators here: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

I suggest contacting both of those who claim to represent you.

Your representative can be found here: http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW_by_State.shtml

Fore best results, contact both of your senators and your representative. Then keep track of how well they represent your interest and use it as a guide for voting in the next election.

In theory, they represent you. In effect, they work for you. Therefore, you can hire and fire them; it's called an "election."

And they all have term limits. That, too, is called an "election."
