Guest Authors

The Lime Springs Page can now accommodate Guest Authors! Some will post articles on a regular basis, others not so regularly.

There are two categories of authors set up, as you can see below. I'm hopeful that young people in the Lime Springs area, or those with some connection to the city, will participate by writing an article now and then.

  • Gary's Rhymes

Photo of Gary ThomasLime Springs High School Class of 1955 produced at least one poet: Gary Thomas. Gary entertained us in the 50s. Now, he will entertain us on The Lime Springs Page from time-to-time with some of his rhymes.

Gary is a retired warrior (US Navy, US Army, Army Reserves), retired teacher, retired area director for the VFW, retired city councilman, and, some days, simply tired. Gary and Sara live in New Albin, the most northeasterly town in Iowa.

The picture shows Gary reviewing one of his writings at our 50th classs reunion.

  • Nancy's Notes

Nancy Sugges spent some or her early years in Lime Springs, graduating from Lime Springs High School in 1957. Her parents, Harvey and Betty Moldt, owned and managed the lumber yard in the 50s and 60s.

She attended nursing school in Rochester and practiced her profession as an RN until about a year ago. Her last few years were as a manager in a hospice system in the Phoenix area.

She and husband Pete live in Chandler, Arizona, and have one daughter in the area. They love to explore the wild areas of Arizona and observe the creatures there. And maybe catch a fish or two for dinner!

Nancy is a real "people person" and loves to write. Sharing of her experiences, knowledge, and writing skills with us will be enjoyable, educational, or motivational—and possibly all three!

  • Student's Submissions

This category is set aside as a welcome area for young people who would like to write an article and have it published for all the world to see!

If you would like to submit an article, just follow these steps:

    2. Send the Webmaster an This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone him and tell him you'd like to contribute as an author. He'll upgrade your registration from "Registered" to "Author."

Then, the next time you log in there will be a menu item called "Submit an Article."

Click on it and you're on your way to fame, if not fortune.
